Scripture Fit – 7 week course taught by Dr. Bob Lay beginning November 2.
To improve and maintain physical health and wellness, adults of all ages rely on workout routines to increase their mobility, core strength, and stamina. Careful progress is the key: taking time to stretch and warm-up before exercising; establishing a regular workout routine before attempting high-intensity training; and working with light weights before any heavy lifting. You become “cross-fit” when you master diverse routines that strengthen all parts of the body while keeping you motivated. Scripture fitness is necessary for disciples who want to “grow in grace.” Yet, a lack of skills or boring routines keeps many from becoming “cross fit” in the use of God’s word. This course is designed for those who find Bible study to be boring or difficult, who rely on others to explain the meaning of a passage, or who simply need a refresher course in Bible study skills. You will receive instruction and guided practice in Bible study routines that will dramatically increase your gleanings from Scripture.
