LITTLE ALLIANCE PLAYSCHOOL

Our Mission

Little Alliance Playschool is a Christ-centered preschool program for ages one to five. Our hope is to partner with families in teaching Christian values and providing a safe environment for learning and fun. We use play and developmentally appropriate activities to encourage children to think creatively, critically, and independently. We also value independent play and time outside as a way for children to grow emotionally and socially. We recognize that these early years are crucial to laying the foundation of learning for a lifetime, and our goal is to work with families to make that foundation one that is strong in a love for learning and a love for Jesus Christ.

LAP Summer Camp

Summer Camps open first to current LAP families. Times are still MWF 8:30-12:00pm. We will spend our summer learning about some of the Miracles of Jesus! Regular outside play and weekly water play will take place. Registration is $55 per child, per week. $10 per week deposit due at sign up. (This payment is made by card only, but the remaining amount can be paid with cash/check or online via the regular payment link. If you’d like to pay the full amount for camps, you may also do that, but a $10 per week minimum is due to reserve child’s spot.)

A Day at LAP

Daily activities include center play, sensory exploration, creative art, read aloud, songs, and Bible stories. Children enjoy snack and lunch times together, as well as time to play outside or in the gym. We also have a weekly music class and monthly chapel gathering. We regularly work on fine motor skills, social/emotional skills, sorting skills, number & letter recognition (in the older classes), and Scripture memorization.

Q: How many children are in each class?

Our youngest two classes (Ones & Twos) are generally capped at 10 children.  Early Pre-K and Pre-K can have up to 14 or 15 children in each class.

Q: What is the teacher to student ratio?

Ones 8:2, Twos 10:2, Early Pre-K 10:2, Pre-K 14:2

Q: Do you follow the public school calendar?

We do not follow the public school calendar precisely. See our LAP calendar.

Q: Do I pack lunch for my child, or is it provided?

Parents pack lunch each day, and we all eat together in the classroom! Kiddos are fed and ready to rest when they leave at noon.

Q: What is your snow day policy?

We don’t base our snow day decisions on the public schools. Teachers communicate early on days when snow is imminent and decide what to do that day. Weather-related closings will be posted on our private Facebook group, and emailed out. We may use a one-hour delay occasionally.

Q: What kind of snacks will my child have?

We ask that parents bring in fruit on a rotating schedule for the whole class. ABF provides fish crackers, animal cookies, pretzels, or chex cereal.

Q: Is there a potty training requirement for any age?

We don’t require children to be potty trained in any particular class, and are happy to assist you in the process!
