PARENT INFORMATION:

CLASSROOMS

Children are placed in a specific classroom based on their birthdate.  Age charts are available at the Little Alliance Check-In Station for your convenience.  Your child will remain with the same classroom until “promotion Sunday” takes place in August.  Babies will move to walkers as they become strong walkers.

VOLUNTEER STAFF

Little Alliance classrooms are staffed by volunteers who have completed a required process and been qualified for service.  Many of our volunteers serve each week, giving you and your little one the consistency needed to make an inviting and comfortable environment.

SIGN-IN SECURITY

Regular Attendees:  Information from regular attendees is entered into the information system.  To check-in:  Enter your telephone number at the check-in station.  Click on your family name.  Check each family member that will be entering classrooms.  Click “FINISH”.  Place the nametag on the back of your child.  Keep the security tag to use for pick up.  If this is your first time visiting Little Alliance, please use a manned check-in station.

DROP OFF/PICK UP

Please make every effort to pick your child up as soon as the service ends. Late arrivals and early pickups interrupt teaching time and disturb children who may be experiencing separation anxiety.  We appreciate your prompt drop off and pick up.  If your child experiences separation anxiety, it is fine to “wean” your child and help them acclimate by staying in the classroom for a period of time.  Your classroom teacher can help guide you and recommend when it is time to try and leave.

SNACKS/DRINKS

We provide snacks during your child’s time in Little Alliance.  Please advise volunteers if you have a snack or sippy cup provided in your bag.  If your child is an infant, advise volunteers if they are eating cheerios. LABEL ALL ITEMS WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME. Please make your teacher aware if there are any food allergies.  We will post allergy alerts when we offer special snacks.

PAGING SYSTEM

Should we need to contact you during the service, you will see your child’s number displayed on the pager screens located to the left and right of the stage in the worship center.  If you see “99” on the pager screen and are an approved worker, please come to the check-in desk; help is needed in one of our rooms.

DIAPER CHANGING

Our volunteers seek to check/change diapers during the latter part of each service so your child can go home with a fresh diaper.  Only female volunteers are permitted to change diapers or assist in the restrooms to assure safety and comfort for your child.  If your child is potty-training, please advise the volunteers.  We will do our best to work with your child, but accidents sometimes happen. Be sure to send an extra set of clothes.

WELL CHILD POLICY

Because we care about your children and our volunteers, we ask that sick children not attend.  Please read and adhere to our well-child policy.

CURRICULUM

The Gospel Project® for Kids immerses kids and preschoolers in the gospel through every story, theological concept, and call to mission from Genesis to Revelation. Ultimately, the gospel message changes everything; heart transformation can only take place when a child experiences the gospel. Through The Gospel Project® for Kids, kids and preschoolers will understand the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story—God’s story of redemption.

NURSING MOMS

If you have a baby with you in service, we have a Nursing Mom’s Room located on the Little Alliance hallway. There you will find a private, quiet, and soft atmosphere where you can feed your infant, change a diaper, or rock your little one to sleep.  Ask an usher for directions if you have trouble locating the room.  This room is for women only, please, no dads.

DIAPER CHANGING STATIONS

Changing tables are located in each of the restrooms in the Commons area. Families who do not have children enrolled in Little Alliance are asked to use these facilities so as not to disturb the classrooms.
