The Covenant – Keeping God

God’s covenants form the backbone of Scripture. They are the skeleton on which the story of the Bible is fleshed out. The Hebrew word for covenant occurs 286 times in the Old Testament. The Greek equivalent occurs 33 times in the New Testament. God’s covenants shape our understanding of baptism and the Lord’s Supper. A common theme of grace runs through the covenants, but there are important differences between them.
