Pastor Scott teaches that Jesus came to seek and save the lost, extending His grace even to people like Zacchaeus who are despised by others and seemingly trapped by sin, wealth, or worldly attachments. Zacchaeus’s transformed response shows that genuine salvation produces genuine repentance: when Christ becomes Lord of the heart, old allegiances lose their grip and a changed life becomes visible through generosity, restitution, and obedience.

Pastor Scott teaches that Jesus sees, hears, and compassionately responds to broken and overlooked people who recognize their need and come to Him in faith, just as He stopped on His way to Jerusalem to answer Bartimaeus’s desperate cry for mercy. Bartimaeus’s healing demonstrates both Christ’s power and the nature of genuine faith: those who receive His saving grace gain true sight, follow Jesus, and respond with joyful praise, while His followers are likewise called to make time for the hurting and needy.
