Pastor Scott teaches that salvation is impossible through wealth, personal goodness, or any other human achievement, but entirely possible through God for those who come to Christ humbly, dependently, and empty-handed. Because Jesus is worth more than anything we possess, His followers are called to hold possessions, relationships, abilities, and accomplishments loosely, surrendering everything to Him with the assurance that the spiritual riches of knowing Christ and receiving eternal life far outweigh anything sacrificed for His sake.

Pastor Scott teaches that eternal life cannot be earned through morality, religious achievement, or simply adding Jesus to an otherwise self-directed life; like the rich young ruler, every person must recognize their inability to make themselves righteous and their complete need for Christ. Jesus calls His followers to surrender every competing allegiance and treasure, trusting Him as their only hope and recognizing that knowing and following Christ is worth infinitely more than anything this world can offer.

Pastor Scott teaches that Jesus deeply loves and welcomes children, calling His followers to value them, protect their access to Him, and recognize ministry to them as vital kingdom work. He also notes that everyone must receive God’s kingdom like a child—not because of innocence or merit, but with humble, helpless dependence on Christ and His grace alone.
