Scott, wife, Tana, and their six children, Stephen, Jonathan, Timothy, Olivia, Laura, and Andy moved to Boone in 1997. He is committed to seeing the Word of God transform the lives of God’s people at Alliance. His passion is to see Alliance be a kingdom church, where broken people find grace, healing, and forgiveness.
Joining the staff in January 2001, Doug and his wife Beth love the High Country! They take pride in their three kids Caleb, Rachel, and Emily; daughter-in-law Jessica; and granddaughter Briley. Doug graduated from Columbia International University and his passion is to get people connected at Alliance and involved in missions. He likes fishing, hunting, muscle cars and motorcycles.
Josh is a graduate of Appalachian State and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Josh and his wife Carrie met while in college. They have five children (Ryan, Scott, Josie, Caleb, and Micah). Josh enjoys hunting, golfing, fishing, and playing frisbee. He also considers coffee a vital food group. Josh loves teaching the Word of God and seeing people develop an appetite for Christ-centered teaching that leads to a transformed life.
Cameron is a graduate from Liberty University where he majored in Church Ministries with a focus in Youth. Cameron joined the team at Alliance in January 2017. He is proudly married to his beautiful wife Hunter. Cameron loves breakfast food, fishing, sports, growing his beard, coffee, and reading a good biography.
JP is a graduate of Charleston Southern University and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. JP and his wife Rebecca met in college doing campus ministry. They have 3 children (Colette, Jules, and Elodie). JP loves spending time outdoors playing with his family. JP has a passion to see teenagers and their families live on mission with Christ.
Michael and his wife Laura moved to Boone in August of 2012. They have five children, Audrey, Emmy, Bailey, Abel, and Alisa. Michael graduated from Appalachian State and Gordon Conwell. He attended Alliance as a college student and now serves as the Discipleship Pastor. He loves helping God’s people grow in their love for God’s word. Michael loves to read, watch the Carolina Panthers, and serve the local church.
Chet’s responsibilities at Alliance include building maintenance and facility set up for church events. Chet is married to Judy and they have four children: Danielle, Kyle, Nathan, and Emily.
Ethan came on staff five years ago and oversees all aspects of AVL, production, and IT. He’s passionate about advancing the Lord’s kingdom through technology, production, and events. You can find Ethan either in his office tinkering with tech items or at home watching the most recent Disney movie with his wife and girls.
Hunter and his wife, Mary Lee, moved to Boone from Columbia, South Carolina in June of 2018. He graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Music Education. Hunter has a passion to lead God’s people in worship through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs of praise! Hunter likes photography, being a cheeseburger connoisseur, and cheering on the USC Gamecocks!
Libby graduated from Appalachian State with a degree in Finance, where she met and married her sweetheart, Tim. She and Tim have three children. She has been on staff with Alliance since 2001.
Women’s Ministry Director
Shawna moved to Boone in 2015 with her husband, Greg, and three amazing kids. A graduate of Texas A&M University and Wheaton College, her heart beats for teaching and training women to dig deep in God’s Word and experience the transforming power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Shawna loves a good conversation over coffee, running the local trails, cheering for her kids on the field, and partnering with her husband in marriage ministry.
Krista is originally from Charlotte, NC, and moved to Boone in 2013. She and her husband Bill have three daughters, Rebekah, Ella, and Suzanna. She has served at Alliance since 2014. Her free time is spent being outside in the beautiful mountains and spending time with family and friends.
Seth came on staff in 2021 and oversees all aspects of internal and external communications. He graduated from UNC Charlotte in 2015 with a public relations and journalism degree and most recently worked at Appnet — a local website firm — managing SEO and writing content. He’s married to Meagan, a Special Education teacher at Blowing Rock Elementary and a faithful volunteer in Little Alliance. Seth enjoys hiking, reading, and eating donuts at Local Lion.
Jenn moved to Boone in 2014 to pursue higher education at Appalachian State. Jenn met Anthony while they were working through school and they married in January 2020. Their free time is spent cooking, exercising, and spending time with their cats, Avery and Jane.
Little Alliance Coordinator
Heather and her family have been attending Alliance since 2006. She lives in Avery county with her husband, Kent and their two 2 sons Eli and Jonah. She has been involved in Children’s Ministry for over 2 decades and has a passion and love for preschool children and their families. She enjoys all sorts of outdoor activities with her family, watching movies, knitting, and living on a mountain with goats, chickens, ducks, and dogs.
Student Ministry Intern
Adelynn is a graduate from Liberty University where she majored in Strategic Communications and minored in Global Studies. Adelynn is passionate about teaching youth and women how to deepen their faith, and how to communicate God’s word throughout their community. She is originally from Hilton Head, SC, but left the beach for the Boone mountains to join the Alliance team in August of 2021. Adelynn loves reading, exercising, movie watching, and searching for the best coffee shop in town.
Kaleb has attended Alliance since 2001 and joined staff in 2017. He’s passionate about helping college students see the lasting and profound love of Christ and the Church. He’s currently enrolled at Appalachian State University and is training to become a psychologist and counselor. Kaleb is married to Amber and has a cute little dog named Amelia. He has a love for exploration and enjoys reading, rocking climbing, and filmmaking.
Children’s Ministry Intern
Josh grew up overseas for years before settling in Boone about a year to attend Appalachian State University. He is a junior this year currently working on his Elementary Education Major. Passionate for teaching, games, and all things crazy, Josh is super excited to be working along Cameron Lloyd in the kids ministry. When not in a classroom, Josh love eating delicious food, watching a good thriller, and going deep in conversation with friends!
