Advent 2021REVELATION

Revelation is beautiful beyond description, extending an invitation to all who hear it to come to the water of life, and be satisfied. There is coming a day when every knee will bow and every tongue confess Jesus is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Come drink deeply of the water of life!

Advent 2021JUDE

The book of Jude was written to encourage readers to remain true to the faith and remind us who the enemy is. He calls us to remain faithful and gives condemnation of those who continue in a life of sin. But not you. You have all it takes to remain faithful.

Advent 2021ADVENT 2021

Celebrate the Advent season with us as we reflect on four themes: Hope, Joy, Love, Peace. Christmas is about the coming of Christ into the world. Let’s thank the Lord for Jesus’ first coming and pray fervently for His second coming.

III John3 JOHN

III John is a great book to support the very early idea of missions. “Therefore we ought to support people like these, that we may be fellow workers for the truth” (3 John 8). What a great text to tell us how we, the church, should support missions.

I JohnA WALK THROUGH ROMANS

Pastor Michael Talley guides us through the wisdom and philosophical arguments of Romans. This three-part series on Romans will help us walk in faith, show us new life, and reveal more of the Holy Spirit in our daily lives.

Every now and then we are privileged to hear from guest speakers and seasonal messages.

I John2 JOHN

In 2 John the author defines Christian love. Love is an action. We know love because God loves. So how do we love one another? When we see needs, we meet needs. We care for one another. We show hospitality to one another. But that’s not his primary point in this letter. His primary point is that love is to be discriminate – not indiscriminate. The point is this love – godly, biblical, holy love is faithful love – faithful to the truth of Christ and His gospel.

I JohnI JOHN

In 1 John the author calls readers back to the three basics of Christian life: true doctrine, obedient living, and fervent devotion. Because “God is light” (1 John 1:5), Christ’s followers overcome evildoers who seek to subvert them. The one who lives in and among them—God’s Son—is greater than the spirit of “the antichrist” now in the world (1 John 4:3–4). To believe in the name of the Son of God is to know the assurance of eternal life (1 John 5:13).

II PeterII PETER

When global unrest, cultural turbulence, personal suffering, destructive theology, or everyday turmoil strikes, how do you respond? It is easy to become overwhelmed by such things, but Peter desires his audience to know that they have a unique ability to step back from their historical situation and view life from a transcendent perspective. In Christ, we possess the gift of gospel optimism. Gospel optimism insists that, no matter how dark the times, we have every reason to hope in Christ.

In the letters of Peter we find no mere spiritual suggestions but divine truths, warnings, and commands meant to give hope.

adventADVENT 2019

Christmas is about the coming of Christ into the world. It’s about the Son of God, who existed eternally with the Father as “the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature,” taking on human nature and becoming a man (Heb. 1:3).

Join us as we explore why hope, peace, love, and joy are leading us to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

I PeterI PETER

Those who persevere in faith while suffering persecution should be full of hope, for they will certainly enjoy end-time salvation since they are already enjoying God’s saving promises here and now through the death and resurrection of Christ. Join us as we explore how this is revealed in the book of I Peter.

ProverbsPROVERBS: God’s Wisdom for Navigating Life

EITRTHE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM

Sometimes topics are too controversial to talk about. Sometimes it’s just polite to look the other way. Then again, sometimes topics are simply too BIG to ignore. Join us as we take on The Elephant In The Room.

HebrewsTHE BOOK OF HEBREWS

The book of Hebrews has more to say about Christian perseverance than any other New Testament book. It is written specifically for a group of Christians who were about to quit hanging in there. Can you relate?

5 SolasTHE FIVE SOLAS

The Latin phrase “Post Tenebras Lux” (After Darkness, Light), then, was used to sum up what had happened during the Reformation: Truth, in the form of God’s Word, was being widely read by the common people. And into this dark world of pagan superstition, mysticism and religious tradition, people were understanding for themselves the way to salvation, through faith in Christ.

If Post Tenebras Lux was the rallying cry of the Reformation, it was the Five Solas that came to stand for the core theological beliefs of the Reformers:

Sola Fide, Sola Scriptura, Sola Gratia, Solus Christus, Soli Deo Gloria
